The Lord is my rock

by Cass Giacone

YAHWEH TSURI

“The LORD is my ROCK”

In ancient Israel, rocks were a symbol of strength, permanence, and security. They were used to build walls and fortresses, and large boulders were used as a shield in times of battle.

This week my faith has been tested by my enemies, those who rise up against me(fear, depression, worry, insecurity) and this morning The Father spoke to me and asked, “Are you relying on Me? Your Rock? Or have you moved outside of My covering? If you stay believing in faith I will fight for you.”

Repent for removing yourself in your unbelief and cry out to God, He is our security and our place of refuge.

2 Samuel 22:1-8

“David spoke the words of this song to the Lord when the Lord rescued him from the hands of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said: “The Lord is my rock and my fortress [on the mountain] and my rescuer; My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, My Savior—You save me from violence. I call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies. For the waves of death encompassed me; The torrents of destruction overwhelmed and terrified me. The cords of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord; I cried out to my God, And from His temple [in the heavens] He heard my voice; My cry for help came into His ears. THEN the earth shook and quaked, The foundations of the heavens trembled And were shaken, because He was angry.”

I encourage you to read all of Chapter 22–

I wept as I read how God was angry with my enemies and wiped them out before me so that I could overcome, it says, “He rescued me because He delighted in me.”

Have hope Beloved, don’t lose heart, Your God is Mighty in Battle and He is for you, not against you.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Don’t dig up in doubt, what you planted in faith.

True faith relies on God and believes before seeing. As faith continues to speak, God continues to give.

He meets us today in the present and tests our faith. My we “live by faith” and choose to trust and believe OUR GOD, THE ROCK ETERNAL and HIS WORD.

Lift up your head and begin praising Him right now, for the deliverance that’s on its way to you.

Question:

What are you believing God for right now? What seems impossible in which you have to have faith to see it come to pass? How is the enemy trying to plague it with doubt?
