“When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the LORD God among the trees. Then the LORD God called to the man, “Where are you?”
He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. “ Genesis 3:8-10
Where are you? The first question God ever asked us in the garden.
God aches for us to be one with Him, to be in His Presence.
To not be ashamed but to be welcomed into His arms of love, to be pressed up so close to His chest that we can feel and hear His heartbeat.
What are the things that are hindering you from coming to Him? What are things that keep you hiding from Him or fellowshipping with Him? What are things in the hidden places of your heart, in the dark—that you haven’t given to Him?
Jesus died so we could be free to come into the presence of our Holy God, The Almighty. Don’t let anything get in the way of your intimacy with your Maker. You were made by Him and in love He thought of You before the world began and made a way when there seemed to be no way for us to come to Him freely and openly, unashamed and adopted-called His own ❤️ He is good. He is safe. He is mighty.
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
