He goes before

The Lord has gone before you!!! - by London Lynn

What you’re going through right now the Lord has set before you. It’s not a surprise to Him. He is with you!

Deuteronomy 31:1-8

“So Moses continued to speak these words to all Israel. And he said to them, “I am 120 years old today. I am no longer able to go out and come in. The Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’ The Lord your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations before you, so that you shall dispossess them, and Joshua will go over at your head, as the Lord has spoken.”

Deuteronomy 31:1-3

The Lord brought Moses to right where he was at. The Lord has brought YOU to be right where you are. He has a reason for where you’re at. He has a reason for the circumstance you find yourself in. He has not left you but wants to empower you through the Holy Spirit!

“Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it.”

Deuteronomy 31:7

Why would moses have to tell Joshua to be strong and courageous? Because he probably didn’t feel it or think that he was. Have you felt this way? Have you felt as though what is in front of you is crushing you? I know I have.

Feelings or fact? Now it’s so good to be honest with our feelings and emotions but they are different then facts. As we identify the feeling we can then pray our hearts would be strengthened in those areas. But those feelings don’t change the fact that God has brought you were you are. God WILL give you EVERYTHING YOU NEED for what He has called you to.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.””

Deuteronomy 31:8 ESV

The enemy wants you to believe that you don’t have what it takes. We don’t. BUT we have GOD who DOES. And relying on HIS POWER we can do all things.

Courageous: Brave; bold; daring; intrepid; hardy to encounter difficulties and dangers; adventurous; enterprising.

How has God called you to be courageous in this moment? The greatest moments aren’t the ones when you’re on the stage but your everyday moments in being faithful to Christ.

He has brought you to where you are. What seems impossible to you is possible with God. Be honest with God in how you’re feeling but don’t allow feelings to overtake the fact that, you are loved, you are chosen, you are enough and God will give you what you need!

Question:

1. What are you afraid of right now in your life? Who/ What seems impossible?

Prayer:

Dear Lord,

I come desperately to you. I need your strength, power and guidance. I pray Holy Spirit you would fill me up and pour me out to the people around me. I pray you would align my eyes, heart, mind, body to see things as you do. Lead me and guide me every moment of every day. Give me awareness of your presence and eyes to see what you’re doing. I need you today, I can’t do this on my own. I pray that you would strengthen me and guide me. I yield myself to you! Let your Kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. In Jesus Holy and precious name AMEN!
