Discipline

Gods disciplines those He loves.

“Blessed is the one you discipline, LORD the one you teach from your law; you grant them relief from days of trouble, till a pit is sit for the wicked.” Psalms 94:12-13

The definition of discipline is: orderly or prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior; control gained by enforcing obedience or order ;self control.

“Blessed is the one you discipline”

This means that when we surrender and submit to the Lords ** enter discipline definition** we will

Be blessed. God is a God of order. He disciplines those He loves because He made us and knows what is best. He cares about our hearts and therefore He disciplines us that we may be blessed and have the fullness of life. In this discipline He “you grant them relief from days of trouble, till a pit is sit for the wicked.”

His discipline is His love towards us. He knows the best way, the way of life, therefore He disciplines us. Often times it’s not easy to see His discipline as a good thing but we have to know that He made the world and knows what is best so we must submit and allow Him to discipline us knowing it is out of deep love that He shows us right and wrong.

Question: How is God disciplining you now? Do you see His discipline as good or bad? What is your attitude towards His discipline?
