God took all the commandments and summarized them into two:

God took all the commandments and summarized them into two:

“And Jesus replied to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’”

Matthew 22:37-39

It is HIS LOVE that heals and transforms us and it is HIS LOVE through us that heals and transforms the world around us. That is the greatest gift God gave us..the gift of His love wrapped up in His Son Jesus.

It is His love that draws souls to Himself. He is love. He overcame all obstacles to be near, with and within us and He still does today.

As His children we must continue to grow in deeper understanding of His love.

He continues to show us that we have a choice to make.

We can choose to be made holy in His love or we can choose our own selfish ways, wills and desires.

Genesis 4:6-7

“And the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you so angry? And why do you look annoyed? If you do well [believing Me and doing what is acceptable and pleasing to Me], will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well [but ignore My instruction], sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you [to overpower you], but you must master it.””

Jeremiah 2:13

“For My people have committed two evils: They have abandoned (rejected) Me, The fountain of living water, And they have carved out their own cisterns, Broken cisterns That cannot hold water.”

We are called to burn for Jesus with a holy love. A love that knows in the depths of our being that nothing in this world satisfies and quenches our thirst but Jesus. A love that keeps us safe, secure and confident knowing that as we do what is acceptable in God’s sight we will be rewarded—but the greatest reward is getting to behold His Presence moment by moment because nothing is blocking Him.

We must serve God with undivided loyalty, we cannot serve two masters and He will not be shared.

Lord, give us clean hands and pure hearts, let us not lift our souls to another-only You. Help us to long after you with a love that embraces Eternity. Thank you that even when we go astray Your love draws us back. Help us to open our ears and listen to Your voice. Your sheep know Your voice. Thank You for bridging the gap when we turn back to You, thank You for Your promise to never leave us or forsake us. Thank You that when we come to You with a broken and repentant heart-in confession that we have not been faithful—You are faithful to draw near to us and cleanse us yet again. May we burn for You with such a holy love that we stay close to Your heart, so close that we can hear it beating.
